STORY OF DELIVERANCE ST TOLD BY NAZARENE PASTOR IN KANSAS CITY

This past Sunday afternoon, myself and our 3 part-time associates met in my office with a young woman who had been suffering with demonic possession for nearly 10 years. Her episodes of hallucination and physical torment came to a climax this past weekend while staying overnight at one of our associates homes.

After some time of counsel and interview, we explained to her that we were going to pray for her deliverance. She was to renounce any covenant ties she had made with Satan and to pronounce her convenant relationship with Jesus Christ.

The four of us labored in prayer for nearly 3 hours (which is why some of us missed the Homecoming service) as each demonic stronghold was broken. I'm sure you can imagine the scene.

We she came to herself, she was "seated, clothed, and in her right mind..." The evidence of her deliverance was so dramatic! She began to explain to us that she could now hear the voice of the Lord clearly and that she could distinguish her own thoughts from suggestions or attacks from the enemy. She began to speak of God's love for her and she repented of iniquities in her life that have reinforced this bondage for so long.

We are helping her get connected with some extended, professional Christian counseling and she will remain in an answerable relationship with one of our staff members.

It's days like this one, I am reminded of why I signed up for ministry. People need healing and deliverance, and I'm grateful to be a part of God's work in this day and time.
